Brand new here too, though i do know the only addition wiring needed is if you are trying a soilderless adapter. I have a v 1.5 and did the quick soilder without a sweat, check your soilder points again.

How is soldering directly to the board any different then using the pin or solderless install method???  Why would you not need the +3.3v and GND?  You're still making all the same connections...

I just had a quick question for everyone.  I installed my chip last night, and as soon as I turned the xbox on, the chip would turn red, but then xbox would reboots itself.  This happens twice, then on the third reboot, the chip stays red while the power light blinks red and green.  I'm also using A/V cables, and the s-controller, but still don't get any pictures.

Agreed - doesn't matter what install method you use, if you have a v1.5 box you need the 2 extra wires.

Quick Question Regarding My Installation

Thanks again for all of your suggestion.  I'm actually gonna go and buy a multimeter to make sure I'm getting connectivity on my solder points.  I will let everyone know of the outcome.

Also, does it matter which D0 I'm using on the Xenium chip?  The reason why I'm asking is because the contact on top of the chip (whatever side the logo is on) came off, so I had to resort to the other D0 point.

Hopefully I'm making sense here.
