you DO NOT have to burn the bios as an iso.  simply burn it as a data cd on a cdrw and it will work.  make sure the file size is 256k after you burn it and it will work.  i wasted a bunch of time trying to make iso's for the bios due to the confusion between evox dash and bios- try it!!

and the dash won't work until the bios is loaded and you boot to that bank.  good luck!

Also, you can open it in xbtool to varify that it is a good bios. xbtool will varify the checksum of your bios.

Ok, I took the M7 evox bios and wedged it between a couple 80 meg dummy files.  I renamed the BIOS.BIN and I go to flash the bios bank and it just freezes.  It doesn't say wrong size or file not found.  Its like it can't find the file on my cd-rw.  Could it be the disk, or the burning program.  I am using sony 4x rw and nero.

as always thanks for any input

I didn't use nero (but i am sure it would work), I burnt the bios.bin disc just using WXPs built in CD-R software. I used a generic brand CD-RW.

Xbox drives tend to be very picky on the medium.  Try using a different type disc.

I had the same type of problems, where I said I had the wrong size file.  What I was doing wrong was I had the wrong CD burning settings.  It needs to be no-multisession, and Joliet unchecked.
