Also,

How in the heck do you see the Led's on the Xenium when the motherboard and xenium are placed back in the box?  The LED's are on the bottom.  

What is the best way to troubleshoot this?

The LED's are bright enough to see from the other side of the room, even with the case on wink.gif

If you don't see video, check to see if you are using RCA video/audio output and make sure you have an orginal xbox controler plugged in. Also to tell what version your xbox is see: http://www.xbox-scene.com/versions.php .

There is supposed to be a way where you can solder an external led to the chip to monitor the Xenium, but details are sketchy right now. However you can see it through the box and once it is working you wont really need to see the LED anyways.

for the future, d0 is not hard if you get a .30 gauge kynar wire, it's small enough to just stick in the hole.  then just touch the point with a 'wet' soldering iron and you're done.  Doesn't help to scrape the point a little with an xacto knife to expose the copper either.

I am using kynar wire from Radio Shack .  For some reason it didn't want to fit in the hole.

Anyways, I got it up and running.  I am impressed with this whole xbox mod world.

I installed the Xenium on my 1.5 using the quicksolder method. P.S. this was the easiast method form my perpective, because you don't have to remove the motherboard. Using this method you do not need to solder any connections besides the LPC and D0. The first time I tried, all I got was the RED led on the chip and then it would boot to the MS Dashboard. I checked my D0 connection (which was connected using scotch tape, didn't want to solder in that small area on top of the mobo) and noticed it was secure. After correcting the D0 everthing works great. You have to have a M$ controller connected to boot past the XOS splash screen, but if yours is booting to the M$ dashboard chances are your chip is connected right.

The Xenium rocks!

Your box must be a 1.4 then cos it defo needs the 3v3 and the ground as they are not on the LPC bus on a 1.5.
How did you establish you had a 1.5? the only sure way is to measure point 2 of the LPC to ground. Open circuit = 1.5. Connection between these 2 points =1.4
