Yet Another Xenium Problem

maybe the hooksup on the TV are loose inside since it worked then it didnt. But maybe the TV its self was the problme. What brand TV did you have it fail on?

I found out why it didn't work on my main TV.  I was using an advanced AV kit with a Dolby Digital connection.   My other TV was just RCA jacks.  So not only does it not work with the HDTV kit, it does not work with Dolbly Digital Kit either.  Not a big deal since once it is set up, it doesn't matter if you can see the Xenium startup screen.

You must have the standard(factory) video cables and audio cables to see anything for the modchip, many ppl have had the same problem.

Glad to help! rolleyes.gif

Is this ALL chips or just the Xenium?

And will the be a BIOS to cater to people with these setups?

I have a RCA Xbox ready TV with VPORT.   So its like the adavanced AV Pack,  but the TV has a Xbox ready VPORT in it.  Will I experience the same thing?

I have exactly the same problem!  When I have only D0 soldered, the xbox boots up, flashes red a few times, then the xenium screen comes up and then it flashes blue for a sec before rebooting.  Does this mean that the chip is installed correctly???  I'm using a standard controller with standard rca cables.

It has been driving me nuts trying to solder different points over and over again.  My xbox has the focus encoder, but I'm not sure if its 1.4 or 1.5.  Does a 1.4 xbox need to have 3.3v and ground too?  When I solder to those two points, my xbox frags instead of booting up to the xenium screen.

Yes. XeniumOS is Cromwell based and as we all know, there are Focus issues. It's supposedly all fixed in the upcoming release (you guys should drop by #ozxodus on EFnet, official Xenium support channel. They must LOVE answering all our questions... over and over and over and over.... hehe)

Just to recap; It's a FOCUS issue.
