Is it me or did I see the actual modchip being soldered to the MOBO? And what can we use as a wire for d0 connection?

I don't exactly have an old Hard Drive lying around, any other suggestions? Can I pick the wire up from Radioshack?

Thanks for all your help...

You really should try to avoid the quicksolder method.  It's really the worst install option because once installed it's almost impossible to remove the modchip without damaging something.

If your LPC holes are filled already and you don't want to clean them for the pin header, go with the wire install.  Soldering wires to the LPC bus is very easy and it makes troubleshooting much easier.

I'm not exactly thinking of removing my Xenium anytime soon after I get it. But, how do I do the wire install, I have never done any modding before... does the chip come with the mod, I am only looking to spend 65 bucks and I have spent 7 on soldering tools.. please advise me... does it come with wires for wire install, and which method is best for a noob? I have basic soldering skills. I got my box at christmas time and it should be a 1.4/1.5

Since there is a pin header for the D0 point is it possible to just solder the D0 point to the pin headers as well and then just plug in the chip directly onto the pin headers? Just a question sorry quite noob here.
