I have a v. 1.1 xbox with a similar problem
After installing the chip I tried the D0 on the front and all I get is a red light on the chip. So I switched the D0 to the back connection and now the xbox powers on and off twice and flashes orange and green then stays on and flashes green and red. The chip keeps flashing red. I get no video. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the help

Do you guys have it hooked up with component video?  I had the same problem but switched to the rca cables and worked fine.  Now all I have to do is figure out how to setup the flashing part.

Nope, just using the regular a/v composite cable.

I had the same problem using the solderless adapter from a working 1.0 box with a cameleon.  I removed the chip from the header several times and even wiggled it and finally got it working. I think the pin connections in the juction block are too loose.

I have the same problem with video using an X2VGA adapter. Switched to RCA and it worked fine

Well my buddy fixed his problem.  His plan was to go back in, remove all the solder he added, empty the lpc holes, and use the pin header.  While in the process of doing this he noticed, a very tiny piece of metal laying across the contacts of one of the chips on the mod chip itself.  He popped that off, attached with the pin header and everything works now.  It seems the piece of metal came on the chip, because he tried to solder the strip off and it wouldn't melt so it was obviously not solder.

I'm about to do that my self.  Quick-solder is a bitch.

Did he use a wick or a Solder Sucker?  I'm about to go to the store, that's why I ask.

Oi, did any one have any trouble with the solder not melting?  I have got one hole left and it’s not budging.  I need to borrow a higher watt iron.

I did, seemed like some holes were more difficult than others.
