I doubt it needs any additional power - just like the X2 2.3b.
The LPC connections are all that is required - read the install manuals - believe them!

for just what ive read (ive only ordered my first chip) the pinheader isnt quite as good but it is used if u ever want to remove the chip completely or get a different one without having to desolder it...as for the other way...its pritty much there for good unless u want to take some serious time in getting it off (correct me if im wrong)

The power connector for 1.5 boxes is there if you want to use the Chameleon Solderless adapter rather than wait for the new Xenium Solderless adapter.

The old Chameleon solderless adapter isnt wired up to feed power from the alternate LPC pins, it just uses the regular ones which are not there on a v1.5 box.

Pinheader, quicksolder etc. no need to use power wires with v1.5 boxes!

I just installed the new xenium chip with the v1.5 console. Boots up to the regular x box dash. I see no lights on the chip since I used the pinheader method to install. Please help
