Err, not to flash the BIOS, but considering that flashing the BIOS is built in to the Xenium, I assume you mean preparing a hard drive?

Slayers should be able to prepare a hard drive on a box with any modchip.

As for you Gamer it's not a stupid question, since it's a new chip that I have no experience with.  Just wanted to know if it was going to be as easy a setup like it was with Slayer 2.5 and my existing Chameleon.  Besides these forums are here for people to ask these questions not get rude & stupid answers like yours.   mad.gif

I just installed a Xenium on a 1.5 box with good success.

After the Xenium booted correctly, I removed the original drive and replaced it with a Maxtor 250GB.

I then used Slayer install for the whole process of loading up the new drive.

Worked great!

I loaded up ex 4981 to do the slayer install.

I have m7 in bank2 as well, i use both.

It isnt a stupid question !!!

As far as I can recall (correct me if iam wrong) xenium is not supposed to be flashable from software, only via the XOS.
After receiving a sample unit, and playing with it, I found u can flash the xenium from evox. The as with any other chip. It is a matter of having the proper flash ID in the evox.ini, mind you, you can only flash the bank thats currently selected to boot from.

Just try and use the flash bios option from evox, that will give u the MAN/DEV id's then u can use that to build a Flash line for evox based on the proper size of the bank u want to flash. This is for advanced users, I will (mayby not) post the actual flash line (s) at a later time.
