Tutorials Section

TSOP is better than using exploits, but it requires some simple soldering.  If you use some of the dashboard exploits, you can mod older model boxes without even opening the Xbox at all.

The absolute easiest way to install a modchip is to use a modchip with a no solder (pogo pin) adapter.  All modchips offer this options nowadays.

But ideally, soldering a chip nin is the best way.

In my opinion, the easiest and sturdiest no-solder chip would be the Cham +no solder.  Since the Xenium uses the same no-solder adapter as the cham, I geuss it's just as good.

Me and a friend of mines played catch with my Xbox and the chip stayed in place just fine.  Oh, and we were bored when we did that.

The X2 seems a good second choice too, but I've seen that come loose in a friend's Xbox I chipped before.  Just incase he happens to be lurking, remember that, eh?! :-p

smile.gif  Good stuff.   I have prolly the first Version of Xbox to come out.  I bought it the day it hit the market .  So maybe I will try some of those Dashboard Exploits for the heck of it until the Xenium comes out?   (which would be nice if its REALLY soon!)

I dunno why I waited so long to mod my box,  I am always on live and I dont want to EFF that up.  But now the on/off abilities are great.

Are pogo pins a PITA?  I see alot of people cursing them out?  Why wouldnt you want a solderless install?  I know some people would like that "solid" connection.   But what other advantages or disavantages are there? beerchug.gif

If you want a nonsolder chip , go with the Chameleon with pogopins...stays in, very easy to install, and you dont have to align a D0 point, just have to stick a wire in it (look at the tutorials to find out where D0 is)
