Help Softmod Using Modded?
« on: February 02, 2020, 11:15:00 PM »

I'm still learning alot of this stuff, so bare with me please.

I have a modded xbox with xecuter3 on it, works fine.
I have a second box with no mod on it, that the HDD crashed on.

Is there any way I can use my modded xbox to create a softmodded HDD for the one that died? I do not have an eeprom.bin for it.

Thanks ahead of time!

No. You need to get the eeprom from the unmodded Xbox with an eeprom reader, or temporarily fit the chip into the unmodded Xbox.

Ok so if i was to put the chip temporarily in the new unmodded box, is there an easy process of setting it up for a softmod? I know a little about how the hard drive locks, and how the eeprom is involved with that, but unsure how to go about setting it up so that when i remove the chip, it will be softmodded with a new hard drive.

Download Evolution X and make an xbox .ISO of it and burn it to DVD. Install your modchip into the virgin xbox and then boot your evox DVD in your newly chipped xbox. Use the "Backup" menu item in Evox to dump your eeprom to the xbox hard drive. Then you can FTP into the xbox to retrieve the eeprom.bin.
