you probley are saying this problem has been in so many topics before why is he posting.well i have read a bunch of other post and i still cant figure it out. i have a 1.6 xbox and the xecuter 3CE modchip installed i did a wire rebuild because i broke the lpc rebuild that came with the chip i checked all the solder points like 10 times atleast im not being sarcastic when i quickly pres power to enable the chip it reboots 3 times and frags i trind booting with the external adaptor and with it on different banks 1 , 1234 , and 5678 i cant it to work the M$ dash boots up fine i can play games and do everything normal.please help.

Are you sure there is a bios flashed on your modchip?
A lot of modchips are delivered without a bios for legacy reasons.

it should have Flashbios installed thats the bios they install to flash it with a new 1 but if it doesnt how would i flash it this is my first modchip

ok i got the chip to work the external switch lights up blue but when i try to boot up the chip its does the 3 reboots and frag the xbox works fine booting the M$ dashboard. what to do next.

OK, back to basics.

Do you have two blue LEDs on the chip?

Try removing the black bank switch cable from the chip.

Check your soldering very carefully. 99% of FRAGs are down to the install.

Hi, im no expert but i did 1 chip install and 2 softmods

I had this same exact problem when i first installed my X3CE. first check if the 2 blue leds are on on the chip. next make sure your exturnal switch isnt on flashprotect same with your switch on the chip.

My problem was a bad solder point even though i thought it was flawless. If you get some pics of the install it would help a ton.

ok it was the install i soldered lad 3 to the wrong spot the mod works the external switch lights up blue but the screen is black. i get nothing no sound no video but its not a frag the led ring is solid green.its a 1.6 not b and i think it has flashbios 3.0.1

i think so its not a round cable its the 3 wires stuck together

why should it matter an av cable is an av cable it works fine with the M$ dashboard

Flashbios is not 100% compatable with all video modes. Only use the standard video cables (yellow/red/white phono connectors)

Have you seen the flashbios screen?

heres my av cable im using only the yellow red and white have there own wires the lead back to the xbox console input

hmm those dont look right

do you know anyone that has the correct cables? i would borrow some and see if that works
