Chip Problems

Sounds like the soldering need looking at. Chip is probably fine (that's my guess), but the soldering may have a dry joint that needs touching up.

Error code is because you drive is unlocked.

Ok i had a look at the pins etc and everything seems fine, the only wiring i have for the chip is an external on off switch, which seems to be fine, Yet iam still to find the problem. I tired using my other hd which is an orginal stock one but i get error code 7 and the clicking sound. And when the chip is on it still powers on and off.

So dose this lead to the chip being faulty,hd, and or both?

uhh.gif  did you check the LPC voltages with a multimeter it is hard to tell if you have a cold solder joint just by looking at it.

I had this same problem with the Executer 3ce it turned out it was the board that hooks between the power eject board and the chip
