Ok, I live at the end of the world, all stores are closed until 10am...

Anyway, my question is: Why is the red light turning on? Doesn't seems like it should be like it

if you mean red led on chip thats flash protect is off (need to be like this to flash chip)or if you mean the x3 led on frount of xbox on x3 bios switch it should be purple when in flashbios screen
the xbox dvd remote allso works in flashbios screen

Allright,

To whoever get a non working controllers in the Flashbios screen (like I did), you, as other mentionned, need to get a real M$ Xbox controller (only to flash, then you are set)

Some very recent M$ Xbox won't work either, but the dvd remote will work 100% sure


The red light on the XAPTER adapter is perfectly normal. It means the D0 point is well connected (from what I have read). So, basically, if you power up your XBOX with the XAPTER ONLY, you should get 3 blue lights
If you power up with the XAPTER and your XECUTER chip, the 3 blue lights AND the red light will turn on, perfectly normal
