might be simple but have you tried a bigger screw and some electrical tape.

Yep, its exactly what I did last night. I used a bigger screw that fit just about exact on the motherboard and the ground adapter...no electrical tape, but I did use some to hold the d0 point. Everything is working well and my xbox, which wasn't used since 2005, is kicking ass and taking names again.
