Hangs On Boot...

Okay my DVD drive went bad so I pulled it.  I mean it was completely shot.  I ran the box a couple of times with no drive and it worked fine.  THen i put the drive back in because the flubber screen was being wierd and it booted to evox fine, but it was terribly laggy.  I quickly shut it off, and started it up with no DVD again.  Now it will not boot any of the dashboards I have.  It will boot the M$ dash fine, and the X3 if i hold the white button.  But I've tried everything and it will not boot another dash.  It hangs on the xbox screen if I am pointing at one, and wont manually reboot to dash either, unstead the backgrounds skips a frame and nothing happens. Any help here would be really appreciated.
