flashbios 3.0.3 is loaded on your modchip. Load flashbios and see what it says at the top of the screen, if it says Flashbios 3.0.1, then try a different bank, its there somewhere.

I will not be installing the switch, so I have no need for LAN or HDD activity LED's. Do I still need to solder those wires --- or is that a pointless step as I will not install the external switch?
---these wires are indicated in this image:
---disregard the d0 in that image. I know what to do with it. I'm just curious if I have to still solder the LAN and HDD act. led's.

Well, their shipping me an Xecuter3CE instead of the regular Xecuter3, so all is well.
NOW, does anyone know if I can leave out soldering the LAN & HDD activity leads?

I have the Xecuter 3 3294 v16plus bios (v16plus = for v1.6 boxes or newer) from the usual sources. Do I need to open it up with any sort of "bios manager" or is it ready to be flashed to the chip?

That's what allows you to enable/disabe the chip from your power button and boot to your flashbios with the eject and power... Quick Press: Boot with chip enabled, Long Press: Boot with chip disabled, Eject and Power: Boot to backup bank of flashbios.
