Any particular reason why only EvoX M8 V1.6 is recommended for Xbox v1.6 and m8+ for a 1.6b ? I have heard of many people using X2 5035 (1.6 version) bios for the v1.6 and v1.6b xbox's.
Whats better about the EvoX bios ? and why should the X2 5035 (1.6 version) bios not be used ??

hey guys, which option on the evo tool works for hard drive over 137gb ?
i chose let partition 6 takes the rest of the hard drive...and i only get 137gb...
is there anything i can do to get over 137gb ?
if that option was wrong, can i reinstall the bios on the executor?

I recommend X2 5035 over evox. It is a personal preference.
M8 didn't work on 1.6b Xboxes. That is why M8+ was created.

Ah I don't understand. Which bios files should I get from effnet #xbins? I downloaded a few rars named:
Xecuter2.Build_4977
Xecuter2_4976_Multi.Ver_256k
X2_4981_fixed

When I open in evox they have kernel extraction error. I have a v1.4 xbox and v2.6 chip. I am clueless as to which bios I need to download. Please some assistance.

hey, I flashed bank1 with x2.5035 and left bank2 alone. I have been having problems with backing up games, mainly freezing when trying to load a game, and original games freezing when the mod chip is enabled. Is x2.5035 classed as a "hacked bios"? It was the one recommended for the 2.6CE chip

Dude I read your tutorial, well done. But it seems there is debate over whether the hacked bios goes in bank1 or bank2. Been reading alot of tutorials from other forums, and the advice I got was to just flash bank1.
I'm gonna re-flash with ur method, see if I can solve some of my game freezing problems.
Anywho, is x2.5035 a hacked bios? Its the one recommended by alot of people and by xecuter.

i had the same problem with other tuts around the net, that's why i made mine.. after talking to everyone else at the time it was done, i found that many of them had the same problems and resolved their issues by having the hacked bios on bank 2.. gave it a shot myself and everything worked perfectly.

couldn't tell ya why some chips work better than others, as i'm not the one who builds them.. i can only point you to a way that is known to work for all of the x2.6 chips.. those with the issue, and those without

and yes, the bios you have is a hacked one.. there are only three bios files that aren't (stock, flashbios, and cromwell)
