dangger good to here the programmer from modchip.ca worked.
What 3 grounds are you refering too. I have the solderless 2.3b lite + and I thought the scew and the washer stood as your ground?

Thanks for your update, atleast now I feel there is some hope.

Thanks

i'm using the wires installation...
and i have 3 grounds

one from the set of wires
one from the ground board that's also connected to the usb board
last one from the two wire headers (the one with the ground and the d0 only)

i just cut the do wire and only use the ground wire...
seems to work for me now... i was soo surprised how easy X2Bios Manager was... you guys should use this.. instead of the X2cable.zip

good luck!

so, my question is, can we used the X2Bios Manager to reflash the 2.3b Pro chip with the programmer?

Hi would be great if some of the experts would give a solution on what to do with the mod chips after they have been flashed and then fragged, seem to be a big problem for a lot of people

QUOTE (was123 @ Jan 9 2004, 10:29 PM)
1:) all bioses requier 1meg not 256 or 512...

2:) use 4979 or 4980 nothing else unless you have a 1.5 then go with m7

3:) if its a version1.1 or 1.0 check the d0 on your install cause it changed for 12. and up.this is a big factor with the lite plus chip...

Why do you say go m7 with a 1.5?  I'm not arguing, i'm just curious why m7 would be better on a 1.5.

you need the M7 or the latest X2 bios cause it compatible with the new Focus chip in the 1.4 and 1.5

I tried everything I could think of.  I did find that I could get it to boot if I moved the Chip slightly off the green so that it doesn't stay solid but rather blinks when turned on and blinks when turned off...

With the green light blinking, you can then switch the chip over to enabled and it will boot, to the X2 logo and then restart continuously.

Anyone know what in the world to do to fix this???
