I just got one and it works but it's very flaky restarting.. works like a champ once its on.  I get a couple pops occaisonaly and a red/green flash.  I have tried several bios with the same result.

I ordered two X2Pros a few days ago, and I’m experiencing problems too.  I double checked all my connections with a multimeter, and everything came out okay.  With one chip, I enable it (non-flashed) and it reboots 3 times, then flashes red and green – so I’m assuming my d0 point is correct because of this.  However, this chip cannot be detected with the X2BM, and therefore cannot be flashed.  With the second chip, I re-did all the wiring and used the second FCC cable and external programmer.  X2BM detects this fine, writes to 100%, then fails on verification.  With DIP #4 on, it doesn’t go to the reboots/flashing red and green.  I’ve switched out the chips, and they have the same behavior each time – the first chip will boot, but not flash – the second chip will flash, but not boot.  I’ve tried multiple computers with X2BM to flash.  I’m pretty convinced that both of these chips are bad…  So now what?  I've e-mailed extreme mod's support -- hoping to get some information soon on returning them to be tested.

I've had the same problems... But I actually got the software to recognize the chip ONCE! Now the software won't see the chip I just got my chip in the mail on the 6th... If I flip the 4th DIP I get the 3x reboot and then it powers down. I have voltages too, but I don't know what they SHOULD be reading... any help there would be nice...

Damn - I just ordered a Pro.  It will be here in a day or two.  Hopefully I won't be adding to this thread.  As if I needed something else to worry about besides my own work.

I read, I learn, I experiment.

But on to the topic, just got an x2 pro for my bud this past saturday and installed it monday, works a treat.  So I'm guessing X-M got a bad shipment themseleves between last thursday, and this thursday, cuz mine works str8.  I flashed it plugged straight into the parallel port, btw.

The FCC cable is long enough to extend a couple inches outside your Xbox.
