Xecuter Ii Lite Switch Question
« on: December 29, 2002, 11:22:00 AM »

Sure enough, as soon as I post this I find the answer - I think.

Can someone please verify that the jumper on = flash protection enabled?

Thanks.

yep thats correct..

basically theres 3 jumper settings. FLASH PROTECTION, MOD ENABLED, and BIOS.
so jumper ON means that feature = ON

so jumper on for flash protection = FLASH PROTECTION ON (cant be flashed)
jumper on for mod enabled = MOD ENABLED (working mod chip)
and of course the bios one, on = v1.0xbox and off = v1.1xbox

since xbox live bans anyone if it detects a mod chip, the mod chip needs to be turned OFF to use xbox live successfully, so a switch will allow you to turn off the mod chip externally instead of opening up and changing the jumper all the time.

NO, the jumper should be OUT to protect against Flashing, to Enable Flashing the jumper should be in.

There seems to be a difference in opinion....can someone verify what the jumper setting is so you CAN and CAN NOT flash your X2 lite?

If you want Flash Protection to be on (so you can not flash your X2):

1) should the jumper be on
2) should the jumper be off

thanks

Flash Protect Jumper ON = Protection
(when do flashing from evox saids flash type unknown)

Flash Protect Jumper Off = No Protection
(Evox broke my X2lite's virginity & impregnate it with F boot blue bios)

jesus, why is this a question...switch the damn switch on and try to flash with a bios? if it works, then you nkow that the switch ENABLES flashing, if it doesn't it enables FLASH PROTECTION
