Does The Switch Work?

Hi, I'm receiving my xecuter tomorrow so i decided to put the switch in today using the alternate points on the back to get it over with. The points look good and i mounted the switch on the back and it came out nicely. When i turn the switch so it breaks the connection the xbox starts normally. When i make it so it connects them the xbox trys to start 3 times and then i get red green flashing. Does this mean the switch install will work with the xecuter when i get it? THanx
