Yes leave wire connected. Leave switches all on ( default ).
Other people have confirmed it worked for them and yes on V1.6 !
HackDaBox !
Hi everybody !
I tried all methods Internet users talked about to get the Spidergx working on my V1.0 XBOX.
No way...
Then i fell on this post.
And after few tries i can finally acces the spidergx menu!!!
Explanation:
I saved and printed the Gfix.jpeg Hackdabox made available above.
after understanding every word and the main idea of hackdabox's concept, i used the 5v cable from the spidergx bundle.
I put the plastic part of the cable (i decided the red wire would go on the second pin) in the pin location on the spidergx switch (programmer location)
I put the other side of the red cable on the pogopin HackDabox showed on his photo.
No matter, 3 frags...
So i decided to try another Pogopin.
Just see hackdabox's photo posted above.
The pogopin i used is the one just above HackDaBox's one (so it's the second from the Top of the photo)
I left the memory bank to factory's default (all switches ON DIP).
As explained in the Spidegx manual i cut all legs but the D0 one that i put at the right place.
I verified 6 leds were blue when spidergx switch was set to OFF and the XBOX powered ON
Then i put the SWITCH to ON...and powered ON my XBOX
And Miracle...
1 frag...
AND It went well! Finally i have acces to spidergx menu.
I tried this way a few time this morning...
Always 1 frag and SPIDERGX menu!!!
I shall consider soldering the red cable on the pogopin, because when the red cable isn't on the pogopin at boot sequence, i get 3 frags...
I think i will also solder the spider D0 leg in the hole of the motherboard to prevent it from going away.
So Thanks a lot to HackDaBox
