Ftp Problem Y? Done It Thousands Of Times

ok heres what i do i set my computer to ip 192.168.0.2 and subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 no defaly gateway leave it blank   on the xbox go in to system settings and change the xbox ip to 192.168.0.3 sub net mask should be 255.255.255.0 and no defalt gateway make it blank then try flash fxp and if it does not work i found sometimes a computer restart is needed depending on what you where doing be for you tryed the set up for the ftp

Well try these things ...

Remove the driver for your Networking Card. Reboot PC. Let windows setup your NIC again.

Try uninstalling Flashfxp and resinstalling.

Try downloading a evox boot disc with static networking from xbins and booting it so you know the xbox settings are correct.

okay.  ive tried all three methods and none of them work for me.   Could it be that I have a defective crossover  cable?    what else can I do?
