First off if you have anything other than a 605-b mostlikely you wil ahve problems reading everything but dvd's.

Spider programmer is a lie. It is a piece of shit and it doesn't work.

- IF you are using Xp and you cant see the BIN extension on the file in the first place then your file on the cd is acctually named bios.bin.bin  and that wont work.

Flashing from HTTP I have no idea about..

Just for background. I have never in my life used a dummy file. and I have only used windows built in cd writer for bios discs. And the only bios problem I ever had was fucking up and putting the wrong bios on my spider. and now I litterally shit on that chip and flushed it.

_ spider support HAHAHA. Funny man you are..  Spider support is about as real as Santa.

If you have tried it on a hD then I am assuming you ahve a modded xbox already and are putting the file in C:\bios\   Correct?

Okay,

I'm an idiot.  I followed these instructions explicitly: http://www.teamxecut...lashbios/cd.htm and it worked finally! (kind of) - Well it flashed the chip alright, but now it won't even boot to the bios screen.  I just get a series of wheezes as it turns on and off and finally I'm rewarded with a blank screen.  I guess I fragged my chip.  To top it off I tried to do a hot swap on my other Xbox and I think I fragged my other mod chip.

Well I'm through...

thanks for the help anyways.
