New To Smartxx, A Little Help?

Hey guys, I'm somewhat new to modding, but have done a lot of reading on this site through tutorials and stickies. I have a V1.2 XBOX with a blue smartxx chip (V2 I think, big, blue, and rectangular shaped). So far I believe I have M8 bios installed as well as EVOX (I think). When I boot up my xbox the "X" is blue (changed) and a pink diamond in the upper left-hand corner says "EVO X", then my xbox just goes into the default MS dashboard menu. If anyone is on AIM, could you help me out a little bit in putting a new dashboard on my system? I need a little help with the FTP thing and connecting my xbox to my routher. Thanks for any help. AIM is bmbyman1737, it will say I'm away but just leave a message and I'll respond right away.

Have you renamed default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe on your C:\ drive?

You've got plenty of smartXX specific guides on how to set things up there, and all of these are stickied so you shouldn't have any problems findning them

But seriously ditch that Evox M8 BIOS and use the Xecuter 5035 instead.
