I have an older smartxx chip ( it is the blue one..I think V.2) and I had a question regarding the flashing lights on the chip itself.

First of all, this was an install I did about 2 years ago and it worked great the whole time. It started freezing on me recently and now the only thing I can do at all is access the smartxx OS. It is installed on a version 1 xbox.

When I am in the smartxx OS the lights on the chip are happily flashing an alternating red/blue. I can move around the OS and change things no problem. As soon as I try to load ANY bios (ones I have not had problems with in the past) it just freezes up.

I am not sure what else to say as far as information to give for you all to work with. I do think my NIC is bad but I would not think that would stop me from at least booting up in to SOMETHING...

Hope someone has an idea or two for me..

I forgot to add that when I do load a bios the chip stops flashing red/blue and just stays a solid red.
