I just got this box back from modding today. Was playin round on it then i shut it down and went into the other room came back turned it on and it does this now. I briefly see the smart os screen then it reboots. I can also see the empy bios slot on my lcd. I can boot via eject button into original dash works just fine. I can boot the chip then immediatly press the eject button and my lcd stays lit sayin orginal bios. somebody show me the light here what is going on.

after tryin the recovery,checkin to make sure everything was still solderd under the mobo, i began checking every point that wasnt solderd by micosoft. Found that where my lcd was solderd to my chip had a tiny sliver little piece of wire laying there from the lcd solder point to the pinheader. stupid wire sliver.....happy me

yeah a lil bitty tiny sliver of wire was layin on the pinheader. goes to show the smallest stuff can do alot.

same problem, just IDE cable had an exposed wire.....

i trust a softmod, but would never trust a chip, ive just heard too many stories about fraggin with mod-chips
