Have A 1.6 And A Smartxx V2 Sle Chip

Hi,

I have an Xbox 1.6 and I just purchased a SmartXX v2 SLE chip (paid $59.99).

I have installed a SmartXX v1 and v2 in a xbox 1.4 but never install anything in an xbox 1.6.

I have read the manual for installing the v2 in the xbox 1.6 and it seems very confusing once I get to the rebuild PCB section. I did not have to do any of this with my xbox 1.4

This is the manual I am using. Is this the correct one for a xbox 1.6 and a smartxx v2 chip:

Can anyone offer any information on how easy it is to install the smartxx v2 SLE into an xbox 1.6?

I consider my soldering skills to be good, but that rebuild PCB board looks killer, plus the manual seems a little vague in some spots.

Well just make sure you get all the solder contacts working, each one it can be a real pain, also some people recommend doing it the manual way (just using wires and not the PCB) but I would use the PCB. Also when you come to flash your chip make sure you flash an _16plus version of a bios. Most newer bioses have this if you don't you can seriously damage your hardware if you don't. (in the long run).

What bios do you recommend for the xbox 1.6?

I am current using X2.4981.06 in my xbox 1.4.

Evox M8_16plus is a good one, also the latest X2 bios is good, X2 5035 has a _16plus version I think to.

Hi,

I grabbed the X2 5035 bios and I noticed a x2config.ini file in the zip.

What is this used for and how does it get loaded into the Smart XX. I know how to load the bios, but how does the x2config.ini file get used.

I would like to be able to configure the X2 5035 bios just like I did using XBTool on my X@2 4981.06 bios
