if you can connect through xbmc, try configuring the network settings in smartxx os to match the xbmc network settings(WRITE THEM DOWN ON PAPER OR SNAP DIGITAL PICS TO MAKE SURE THEY MATCH). these settings are completely seperate software code from eachother so you may have simply made an error when configuring, or re-configuring, the smartxx os since you likely have not changed the xbmc.

in regards to remote flasher not working properly, try describing it clearly in a bug post over on the smartxx.com forums. someone over there can either help you make it work or maybe you will help them fix a problem.
