I just purchased a smartxx chip and i did the solderless install. What is happenning is the following:

1- lights red and blue on chip are lit up solid
2- when i boot up i get the famous black and green error screen from MS telling me my Xbox needs servicing.
3- I dont even see the smartxx boot screen.


Please someone help... do i have a bad chip or what??

I dont know what version of xbox i have but the date on the box says 2002 if that helps a bit.

Please someone give me ideas as i ran out of them and need some.

Oups forgot I swaped HD for a Maxtor 120Gig.
