There is an Emergancy Recovery Switch that you can flip on your mod chip so you can restore your smartxx OS if it's corrupt. However some of your soldering may have come lose, so while your in there check that the EJECT and all other cables are not lose. Also check that the yellow front power/eject cable is not lose. Also on a side note, if your DVD Drive is a tompson or early phillips it could be dying, or also check on it's yellow cable as well.
