Disable Evox IGR in it's INI all three ways see if that helps also about your locking thing did you unlock your original drive?

Thanks for the tip, but IGR is already disabled in Evox and the original drive was locked but in the xbox it came with.

I do think I found the problem. The xbox that isn't working wasn't set up with a 1:1 clone like I had originally thought. My buddy set it up by formatting the 250 gig drive in the Smartxx os and then doing an OS copy.

I have since installed a third mod chip in another friend's box and set up the hd drive as follows trying the OS copy method as well.

Format Cache + BFR
Format C
Format E
Copy C (OS)
Install Evox
Format F

Guess what, same exact problems as the other box.

Yet, when I do a 1:1 clone from the original drive, life if good. Am I doing the OS copy wrong or is a clone just the way to upgrade to a bigger drive with Smartxx ?
