Broken D0 Trace - Fixable?
« on: January 05, 2009, 03:35:00 PM »

I have personally bought quite a few Duox chips from this user:

Many other users here will vouch for him also.

Yes, you have to use either the main or alt d0 point for a modchip install!

And as for your current motherboard, I'd say from the pics you've posted you're pretty screwed on it unless you can find a professional to fix it for you. Even then you may be out of luck. I'd probably just look for another Xbox on ebay.

Good Luck!

yep.
that's me.

let me know if you need one.

let me just say....OUCH!
if you can bridge from the top to the bottom D0, you may be in business. it depends on the entire path of the D0, which i am no expert on. i also know that D0 can be tempermental with circuit length, so there's that also. does the board 3-FRAG retail, or will it boot? if you can get it to boot the TSOP, you may get away with just flashing the TSOP. what version board is this?

i should also note...
if you are going to solder to traces, you need to scrape it clean first. the traces are copper, so when the trace looks like copper, you can usually tack on to it. be careful scraping though, or you'll just dig yourself in deeper.
