Duox2 Problem

A few other things, swapped with another 1.6 chip and it did the same thing. But when I put it on the X2 bank it booted with the scrolling color lines. It will also boot regular games with the X2 Bios on.

Well, I lied, I kept hacking away at it and I found out if I used a regular Xbox cable instead of an HD cable the display came up fine. Very weird indeed, I will google this problem.

GRRRR, well my other 500gb Xbox that im shipping out soon worked with the HD cable just fine. So what is the deal? I can't find anything at all on google. For some reason the HD cable won't work with that particular xbox with a Duox2, 1.6 mobo and a philips drive. Any help, anyone?

if you have a 1.6, you can not use X2 bios. it should just make it FRAG.

use evoxM8-1.6 bios.

You can use an X2 bios. Use X2 5035 (1.6 version)

YOU CAN NOT USE THE X2 BIOS (that comes with duoX2) ON A 1.6.

X2-4979 will only make a 1.6 FRAG. period.

 

you have to use the M8-1.6 on the other bank, or flash the chip.

He is obviously not using an old X2 bios because he has already mentioned the
Xecuter Rox My Box logo coming up and also that the chip boots on that bank.
 The old X2 bios simly says Xecuter2 on the boot screen.

 I really don't see what X24979 has to do with the problem  other than a previous hotswap he mentioned which is no longer relevant to what is happening now. I can't see where the problem is FRAG.
