Problems With The Duox 2 Gs Cromwell
« on: February 03, 2020, 12:56:00 PM »

When installing it booted from the first time (though the red was flashing, but that seems to be normal.) and all worked great, i had the cromwell in bank 0 and the flashbios in 1.

I switched to bank 1 to flash with an xecuter for the DuoX that went all well aswell. Only now Bank 0 had the Xecuter and Bank 1 had the Cromwell linux. Because support said that i had the use the Evox M8 Bios, which works better i wanted to flash mine.

Only question now is it possible to flash using the cromwell linux (not the flashbios..) or what is the best method?

Also another question, my xbox was fucked by my cousin (from whom i bought it..) he messed with the harddrive.. So it boots with an e13 error. Is it possible to swap the hdd for a new one (40GB) and just use an auto installer to format and setup this hdd?

Thanks in advance

is this the 1.6 version of M8 you need?

a 1.6 xbox will not boot xecuter.

you can use cromwell to flash the chip, but you may need to get an X-linux distro. it depends on which version of cromwell. i think the newer versions of cromwell let you flash from the boot menu (i could be wrong, i don't use it).

if you have the e13 error on the stock HD, use a modded bios to boot the HD. this will unlock it. from that point, use your slayer's disc (or something similar) to rebuild the HD. you can then unlock it if you are removing it for replacement for the new HD. this will leave you with a good 10GB HD to use on whatever, and you can drop in your new HD which will give you e13 until you put a dash on it.
