Unsolder the D0 wire from the chip end and connect it to a ground point. this forces boot from the LPC.
If it still boots the standard logo screen then the D0 point soldering on the motherboard is not correct.
The dashboard will be the MS dash even once the chip is working, until you install an alternate dash.

The alternate D0 is
IPB Image

You need a wire from that to one of the metal rings round where the screws go on the motherboard.
Report back and let me know what happens when you wire it like this.

Hi Chancer,
Can you please confirm if i have understood you correctly....Thanks
Hi Chancer,
Just to make sure i understand you correctly. Here is what will do:
Currently i have two wires going to the mod chip i.e. one from D0 point from the motherboard to the D0 point on the mod chip.
The other is the BT point on the xbox to the BT point on the mod chip.
Now what you are saying is to desolder the wire from the D0 point on the mod chip and put to one of the metal rings on the xbox motherboard. So this basically leaves only BT wire soldered to the mod chip and thats it.

Pleas tell me if i have understood you correctly.
I am already using the D0 point from the bottom of the xbox motherboard as per your picture.
So to summarise:
Wire from D0 point connect to the metal rings (i.e. desolder the D0 from the mod chip D0 point)
Leave BT wire as it is.

Thanks for your help.

Yes that is exactly right. D0 from the mother board goes straight to ground. No connection to the chip at the moment.
