You don't really need Eurasia for DuoX2 Gs cromwell bios. The Eurasia is a boot strap loader based on linux. The DuoX2 GS already has the bootstrap loader on both banks. But once the banks are flashed with bios it gets overwritten. Just don't mess up both banks and keep one bank correct with the linux loader on there, ie cromwell/flashbios 3.0.1. I love the team omega. They rock! Utilizing the hardwork of xboxlinux. DuoX2 blue can really be saved using the Eurasia disc as it has no flashbios like it's cousin the GS. So, if yu have a blue chip then the Eurasia disc will help you. You can start by learning how to use the search button. Eurasia Pro Flash Disc can be found in Chancer's sig. Okay. that's all i'm saying.

If you have a 1.6b then you certainly do need Eurasia as the flashbios bank (Bank 1) will most likely give you Blank screen.
So using Bank 0 you will need the Linux flash app (Eurasia)

Hmm not sure where you pulled all the info from you posted but not much of it is really correct.
the Blue is pre-flashed with a hacked bios on both banks so you don't need Eurasia at all for the blue chip.

I fixed a duoX2 blue when it went awry. I fixed a duoX2 blue when a v1.0 whent to hell with the bank 0. Then I booted bank 1(working btw with a X2 4976 bios on it) and launched the Eurasia CD. It ask me for some info like whether I have a capable chip set. It said something like the proggy will start looking for a set interval of time and give up after awhile. There was some prompt(or maybe not)....and then I switched the bank over to bank 0 and then the program said flashing was succesful. then it turned off the xbox automatically and I booted my M8+ bios disk on bank 0 and voilla evoX was up and running. The customer didn't have his X2 4976 bios but oh well. I don't fiddle with any other bioses. I charged him and then I said days work was done. I read that's why I don't fall waste too much time diagnosing peoples machines. It used to be hard for me to fix other's work, ie stuff I didn't mod myself and just accepting customer's with lost dashes ,etc.

Some bg info: the bank0 was black when booting up with chip on socket. Bank 1 was working though. Both were previously flashed with X2 4976. when booting up from bank 0 the led ring was solid or flashing(I don't remember) orange. I just did this for a customer 2 weeks ago.

Oh yeah I thought I got my Eurasia Pro Flash disc proggy at the usual places? So it's hosted on the usual places and on the XS server? two places to get it? Wow? I didn't know that. I just by default go to xbins.

On a chip with a hacked Bios working on one bank already you can use most any flash app to flash these chips including most of the autoinstaller discs and evox. Eurasia is of course capable of this as well but the options on a blue with only one bad bank are many. Eurasia means using a Bios disc as well as the flash utility.

I got my chip in yesterday and installed it just now.
And tis the white version.

Yes when its set to bank 0 I get the cromwell flash screen w/ the disk and network option
near the bottom.

And when its set to bank 1 it comes up to a blank screen.

I know now that I am on the right path.

I just got thru making the eurasia boot disk. Buned the iso image to a cdrw.

Make sure the bios disc you burn is 512k and a 1.6version bios and you are nearly ready to roll

oh a 256 bios.bin file will not work?

and am I flashing this on bank 0 where its asking for a cd right?

NO. Do not use a 256k bios.bin file as this will not work !

Use a 512MB bios.bin that is 1.6 version.

Also set the bank switch to bank 0 and load up Eurasia and get ready to flash ...

But then flick the switch just before flashing so you actually flash bank 1

This way you can still boot from bank 0 if you need a another try !

loading up my eurasia boot cdrw did nothing.

Just have the cromwell blue screen and asking to insert cd and press button A

does nothing.

Am i supposed to have this chip enabled to do this flash?
cause I dont remember reading anything about a disable or enable option. in the installation Tut.
all I saw was bank 0 and bank 1, nothing about a enable.
It does make since cause in the past I had another box w/ xecuter 2 chip and you can enable it or disable it.
so here I am again.

im using the evox m8 plus 1.6 bios and renaming it to either bios.BIN or BIOS.BIN.
which is it I am still not getting this.

whats the grounding the D0 point I heard about?

Let me add that I am getting a solid orange ring of light after bank 1 is fully booted up no audio or video though. I read something about the orange ring not good.

Made my slayers evox autoinstaller dvd-r disk and booted up on it this
morning and looking good.

I am trying a new auto isntaller all in one 4.1 dvd like over 850 mb when extracted and built to a dvd-r.

and am checking into the new slayers 2.7 w/ 1.6 xbox support more details I think.
