Fragging 1.6 Xbox W/ Duox2

I modded a 1.6 xbox with a white duo x2. It started fragging (boot 3 times and blink) and I read somewhere that the LPC rebuild is no good so I removed it and removed the mod entirely just to see if it works properly. So I booted it up and the xbox continued to frag. Any help would be appreciated.

All i can think of is that you might have a solder splash.. check anywhere and everywhere for one, you may have done that inadvertently.

If it now FRAGs with the chip out and removed, you have most likely damaged the D0

If you already modded it with the lpc rebuild board, and you're getting fragging...then it was better to try and reflow the solder with a hotter iron than what you initially used. In my experience when you're dealing with an v1.6 you typically should use a 30-40 watt iron. Because when you are dealing with the lpc rebuild board,and you don't lay it flat and one end or the other gets bowed or bent then you're not making good contact with the lpc region of the xbox mobo. With a lower wattage iron your heat energy gets taken up with the header pins and thus your solder is not flowing down to between the bottom of lpc board and surface of the lpc region. With any other versions you could get away with a 20-25 watt iron because you're not dealing with the possibility of having any gaps between the lpc and the lpc board along the length of each respective header pins. Basically to be successful you need to have uniform coating from the tip of the header pins all the way to the upper side of the lpc holes(ie top of xbox mobo). Taking it off without proper equipment just leads to bad, bad things. I don't know how youre going to fix it but let us know if you do fix it though. I once tried removing a lpc and accidentally knocked off a capacitor while trying to pry the darn thing off with heat and a xacto knife. My hand slipped and accidentally knocked off a cap. But now I'm much better due to better equipement.
