X2 5035 Bios (512k)
« on: February 27, 2007, 10:07:00 PM »

Hello, well first off im still in the process of flashing mine. stupid dvd rom. Anyways im trying to use the bios x2 4981.06 resized to 512 using XBtool. Which is available from the xbox-scene main website. I tried to flash my bank 1 with evo-x m8+ but it just powers on and off 3 times then stayes on but i have no video. So i wouldnt reccomend that one. As for the latest bios I really dont know. Just keep using that search button on the forum im sure the question has been answered before. Oh yeah also ive heard that bank 0 is for xboxs v1.0-1.5 and bank 1 is for xboxs v1.6 but im not sure of the validity of that claim.

the x2 4981.06 should come as a .bin file , otherwise I don't think xbtool can open it.

I don't know about the AID3 thing, but try some shearch on google. It is always a good idea. Or wait until a pro answers (chancer? happy.gif )

1. Don't use a BFM Bios.
2. X2_5035 is the latest BIOS from TeamXecuter and it works great.
3. No matter which BIOS you choose to use, make sure it's 512K and the right version for your xbox.
4. You cannot use AID to initially flash your chip, but once the chip has been flashed via other means, you can use AID to re-flash the BIOS and install dasboards, apps, emulators, etc. . . .

X2_4981 is a bit older, but works just fine.

1.6 motherboard?

If so, you'll need to burn 2 discs to flash your chip.

1. Get Eurasia and burn to disc.
2. Burn another disc with your 5035 BIOS and a dummy file.

make sure the BIOS is in the root of the drive and is titled "bios.bin" (without the quotation marks).
Also make sure you have the correct BIOS file for your motherboard.

Boot your xbox with your chip on bank 0. Afterwards flip the switch to Bank 1 on the chip. From there, you'll use Eurasia first, and your BIOS disc second. Simply follow the on-screen instructions to flash via CD/DVD

i feel like such a dumass now. i did that, but i used a 4981 bios. now i get christmas lights. is there any way to use the mode 1 with out mode 0??

p.s. i only get christmas lights with the chip on and on mode 0

p.s.s. when i try to run the cd in mode 1, the light in the front goes orange, but still no video.

also, i think the xbox is a 1.5 or 1.6
