Everything is fine. The RED LED should flash so that is normal too. Install a hacked dash and some apps  and you are good to go

I would kick off with evox as a dash. It is very straightforward and you can always  upgrade to a different dash once you get more confident. If the chip is working don't worry about it being a clone or not.
