Another Duo X2 Lite Question....
« on: January 04, 2007, 04:46:00 PM »

When the Duo X2 Lite is installed in the 1.0 Xbox, what will happen when i boot up for the first time?  This xbox already has error 16 (clockloop) on it and im using this chip along with another modded box just so i can boot up with the other xbox's hdd.  Heres the guide on that:

1. There are some bios'es around that allow the chip to boot past the clocksetting. (do a search!).So how do you get that bios on your chip becuz you cant boot to a flash program or something. Well you need to have an external flasher.

*edit*
Posted by: "chris67rs" It seems the d6 bios will take care for you of booting past the clocksetting.
thanks chris67rs for sorting this out for me
*/edit*

2. This is the more easy and newbie friendly strategy
-Get a friend with a modded xbox.
-Unlock his hdd with eeprom management from a slayer evo-x cd.
-Than, place his hdd in your xbox.
-Boot with your chip on.
-Now the xbox DOES find a dashboard when you boot in original mode and you can set the time in the msdashboard clock settings.
-Shut off xbox and remove your friends hdd
-PLace his hdd back in his xbox and lock it again
-Install your hdd
-(clock has been set) So boot up with slayer cd.
-Install normally whatever you wanna install
-lock hdd

--------------------------------

EDIT:  I was gonna do the second method, but now that i have a chip, cant i just do the first?  Where can i find a d6 bios to flash on the duo x2 lite?

Your duox2 lite should be preflashed with a bios that will take care of the clock situation.. Just burn a boot disc like slayers and use it to rebuild your HDD.

The M8+.16 bios on bank 1 of the chip will skip the clock check. Boot with the Autoinstaller in the drive and install all the dash files .
