Noob To Modding Asking Bout A Chip

i just bought an xbox about a week ago to play halo 2 with my friends on live, but i also bought it to mod the shit out of it.  since i bought the xbox used ($100usd), halo 2($24 used), and an xbox live account for a year($55usd) so i aint got much money left for a chip but need one.  i hope to buy the DuoX 2 modchip because its cheap but i know that if it is a cheap price its normaly a cheap chip.  i want to be able to ftp and have a bigger HDD (i got a spare 160gb) so i can run games off of it.  also i need to still be able to play live.  i have looked at alot of chips lately, and its either this one http://modchip.com/xbox/duox2order.php or http://modchip.com/x...uter26order.php  plz help me out here  biggrin.gif

I'll give you good news. Full stock used including original DuoX in the last 3 years is 500. Not one faulty. It will do all you need of it.

i am confused by what you are saying,  besides that it wil do what i want it to do.

I am saying i have installed 500 original DuoX and DuoX 2. I have now run out of them. Not one has been faulty out of all those installs

If im not mistaken, you cant get on Live with a different HDD.  You need the stock one...

u can install that hd and use ftp without putting a chip in

If you've been on live before with the stock HDD, then you'll need a new, virgin eeprom to go on live with an upgraded HDD without getting banned.

And I too can vouch for duox2s.. I've sold over a thousand of them, and installed several hundred myself... You just can't beat it for the price.
