Hello all,

I am currently pulling my hair out trying to get VGA output to work properly on my monitor and this lead me to a discovery of different behavior between two of my chipped boxes.

I have a 1.0 with a DuoX 2 GS (blue) that will allow me to flash it with Frosty's new VGA BIOS.  I have a couple of 1.6 boxes with the DuoX 2 Cromwell edition chips in them that will FRAG if I flash this BIOS to the chip.

I have tried about half a dozen different BIOSes that will work fine in the blue chip in the 1.0 box, but will FRAG if I flash them in the white chips in the 1.6 boxes.

So what is causing the white chips to be picky about BIOSes, the chips themselves or the box revision levels?
