Blue Duo X2 Gs Problem

If its booting the blue logo then the chip as a bios (1.0 -1.5) installed. Source a copy of the latest AID3 or Slayers Auto Installer and boot your Xbox with it in the DVD.
It should in reallity boot the Auto Installer and then you will be able to install a new dash&apps of your choice from the on screen menu.

Will "XBox Xebian Linux Pack" from Whitedog.co.uk help me? Is this what i need?

No
The chip is already flashed with a hacked bios so you will never see the Cromwell screen (Nor do you need to)
Search the internet for an Autoinstaller disc Slayer 2.6 or AID 3 and install a hacked dash and some apps
