Doux2 (blue) Possibly Dead After 1 Year? No Light On Chip

I have a v1.4 XBOX with a DouX2 blue (preflashed) chip installed.

I have installed many of these in XBOXs with minimal problems.

A few days ago I booted my XBOX (with the Mod-Chip ON) and went to my computer to FTP some movies to its HDD.
I noticed that the network conection went from ON, to OFF, every few seconds.

When I checked my XBOX I noticed that it was sitting at the Blue XBOX logo and would then refresh back to the Blue XBOX logo every few seconds. (It should have jumped to EvoX after this).

I turned off the XBOX and booted it again (with the Mod-Chip ON). It seemed normal,... flubber screen, Blue-X logo, but instead of jumping to EvoX it would refresh itself, display the Blue-X logo, then refresh itself, display the Blue-X logo... (you get the picture)

When I boot in the Mod-Chip OFF mode everything seems fine. My XBOX displays the ERROR 05 screen. This isn't a problem because I always leave my HDD UnLocked just in case something should go wrong (like now) I can swap the HDD with minimal hassle. So it appears the XBOX itself is fine.

After opening the XBOX and booting it up (with the Mod-Chip ON) I can see that the Red LED on the Mod-Chip isn't turning on and blinking like it should. No response from the LED on the DouX2.
I checked the wires and made sure the chip is firmly on the pin header, BT and D0 are all good it appears, but still this problem.
I know there are a few of you here that seem to know the diagnosis of just about every DouX2 error, so i'm wondering if you can tell me if the chip may be dead, or if there's a pin or two I should check based upon my problem.

I read just about every error post in here but I haven't seen anyone with this problem in particular.
Thanks in advance!

No red led on the chip then no power to the chip. Check the bt make sure u got a gud connectionj.

Ok. I fixed the problem by swapping the DouX2 out and putting a new DouX2 GS chip in.

It was definately the mod-chip that failed here.

I did solder a new wire on the BT but it didn't help a bit. I even bent the pin header prongs out slightly thinking it was a missing connection.

I did everything I could think of because I read here many times that the chips never fail. It's always bad soldering. I guess this is an exception.
