Cromwell Not Booting

ok i have a 1.0 i installed the romwell just fine and the 80 Gb HDD (maxtor) and i downloaded the AID 3.1 instller and burnt it how it said to and the disc wont boot am i suppose o put a diff disc in first like to flash it or that please help thanks
