Hey, I am new to the xbox scene. I am modding an xbox for a friend. I am a PC tech so please bear with me for any stupid questions.
I put the cromwell duox2 chip in the system. with the d0 wire going to the underside of the motherboard and the BT wire running to the top left point of the 4 points square behind the eject button. I flashed it with a x2.4983 bios on bank 0 bank 1 is untouched.
I was led to belive that starting it with the eject button would load the original ms bios. BUt the eject button turns the system on briefly when u can hear something spinning and then after a sec it stops and turns on again with the x2bios and ejects the tray. I can also see the chip flashing from the side of the case.
I checked to see if i had any wires shorting out behind the eject button but it looks good.
Any info will be apreciated.
