You haven't installed the chip correctly. If the chip is working you would not get error 5 as the chips bios works with an unlocked HDD

The chip is not working.
How do i know?
The bios on the chip does not give the service screen or error numbers. Only the original retail bios does this so the box must be booting from the retail bios and not the chip.
Error 5 is because of the unlocked drive.
If you got a white Duo then you should get the flash screen when you boot from the chip.
If you got the blue then you should get full boot with a customised start up screen (evox shield in the corner)

I will second chancer in saying you are wrong and that your chip is NOT working.  Error 5 means your HD is unlocked.  Only the MS retail bios cares if your HD is unlocked.  Hacked bioses could care less is the HD is unlocked and will work just fine with an unlocked HD.

Alright, I'll look over it some more and try it again. I have the white Duo 2 Gs.

Thanks for the help.
