im trying too install a duo 2 lite and having some difficulties atm the xbox is fragging when switching on with either the on or the eject button this is also happening with the chip removed as well

the furthest iv got with this is getting the blue flubber at which point i thot i had suck seeded but alas my joy was short lived as after the blue flubber all i got was a blank screen so i resoldered the lpc rebuild board ( i know i know only tits use these but this tit has previously lifted traces trying too do a wire install on my other box) hoping that this would solve the problem but all i got was the above fragging any ideas as too where iv gone wrong?

also i followed the guide in lord chancers sig but am confused at the last pic there seams too be a couple of red wires coming out from above the pin header where did they come from? go too? do i need these? should i realy off attempted this? if a tree falls int eh woods and noones there does bill gates still make a profit? losing it??? no im not looseing it the ppl in my head r looseing it im fine biggrin.gif

If you get frag with the chip disconnected as well as with it in then you have certainly got some install damage to traces or some solder shorts.
You need to check this carefully with good light and a strong magnifier
The 2 wires are the BT wire and D0 wire

I think now would be a good ime to seek a professional, 1 dead brick xbox is better then 2.

thanks for the replies iv resoldered the lpc board and now joy of joys no frag!!! but no chip workie evox bios thangie either the xbox boots straight into dash as if chip wasnt even there

could it be that iv fried the chip? i did during one test misplace it on too the chip header so that the 2nd row of pin on the female (chip) plugged into the first set of pins on the male connector (board) if u understand what i mean

iv looked too see if i can find a note off what voltages should be present on the lpc board etc so i can check it with me trusty multimeter but cannt find any anyone help here?

chancer the wires i refered too arent (or donnt appear to be) the bt and do there the two red wires that appear too be soldered into the lpc on the  mobo just next too the pin header

moddingmaniac i fear u maybe correct but i know not off such a person in my area and funds r limited plus id like too think (mistakingly probally lol) that i can do this myself (with xbox scenes help lol)

success!!! seams the do point was too blame that and before when i had the blue flubber screen a bad burn of slayers so iv now got my 120 gig hard drive installed biggrin.gif

thanks for the help as ever guys

now whats next since iv got the solder iron out? lol are these things ever finished? lol
