Duo X2 White (cromwell) - Strange Results After Flash
« on: August 23, 2006, 05:40:00 AM »

Your initial flash was wrong.
You should make up the bios disc with a 512k bios not a 1mb. Each bank is flashed seperate.
Boot the bank that is flashed with M8 and use it to reflash the bad bank  by flicking the switch (on the chip)before the flash takes place

yeah, thats correct. you cant flash both banks on the duo at the same time (unlike x2.6s)

and why use m8? x2 5032 should be the one to go with.

OK. Thanks for the info so far. So...
1) Any help on where I might find eurasia and tut?
2) Will the X2 5032 stop the rolling screen on what I assume is NTSC games? And why does all the advice I've read so far recommend the M8_1.6 / M8_+1.6?

What I'm gonna try to do is...
a) Create eurasia disk with X2 5032 bios file
cool.gif Boot Cromwell (bank0) then switch to bank1 post boot.
c) reflash bank1 with X2 5032, leaving Cromwell on Bank0

Where can I find Flashbios 3.0.3 (or 3.0.1 if, as I read somehwere, it's better for v1.6 [not b]).

Guys, really appreciate all your help. I know I'm asking a lot of questions, but please don't stop posting.

ATB, Dan.
